Owned and operated by Feargal McKinney, Ellen Keenan, and Peter Kenney, all natives of Dublin, Ireland, The Idle Rich Pub offers the warm welcome and friendly atmosphere of a traditional Irish pub. The Idle is located in the heart of the Uptown area of Dallas, minutes from downtown and the Arts District on the McKinney Avenue Trolley line. The pub is fitted with rich cabinetry, furnishings and tile work imported directly from Ireland.
We specialize in the beers, whiskies and food of Northern Europe encompassing a wide selection of Belgian, English and German beers, sixty single malt scotch choices, and pub food classiscs such as fish and chips, ale steamed mussels, and a beef and Guiness pie. Also featured is the best in American craft brews and small batch bourbons. Be sure to check the chalkboards located throughout the pub whcih list interesting and seasonal beers, whiskies, wines and special food offerings.
