Written by the Seasons plans to open its second restaurant later this year at The Quad in Uptown Dallas.

A Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing shows the renovations on the 2,595-square-foot space are scheduled to begin in May, with delivery set for September. JonesBaker is listed as the design firm.

Owned by Hailey Nutt, Tripp Russ, and Brenton Phillips, Written by the Seasons opened its first location on Melba Street in the Bishop Arts District in 2021. The Quad location will open on Howell Street in Building 2.

The seasonal menu features an array of salads and vegetables, seafood, steak, and duck, along with a beverage menu that features dozens of wines. The restaurant’s website describes its offerings as consisting of “market driven dishes, seasonal ingredients, and locally raised provisions. Creating eclectic and genuine experiences from the purest of ingredients.”

“Each meal inspired, created, and prepared to be celebrated in and through the seasons of life.”

The Dallas Morning News reported the European restaurant is among several others expected to open at The Quad this year or in 2025, including Australian eatery Two Hands.

“At the center of it all, The Quad reestablishes uptown as a thriving epicenter of Dallas retail and restaurants with over one acre of outdoor space, including an urban lawn, and five new retail buildings,” according to a Stream Realty brochure. “The Quad — Restaurant Collection brings together alfresco dining, restaurants, and coffee creating a neighborhood gathering place for the next generation of Uptown Dallas.”

The Quad offers more than 345,000 square feet of office space, and the Restaurant Collection spans a combined 13,780 square feet. Located near the Katy Trail, the development is within walking distance of more than 200 restaurants and shops, the McKinney Avenue trolley, and more than 40 multifamily communities.
