I had a chance to catch up with my fellow SMU alumna at the new burger bar, Ketchup, on Hall Street.

What do you love about your job?

“I love that every day is different and I am always amazed by the variety of people I meet. Also since I can work from almost anywhere I have the flexibility to travel or take my work out to the Starbuck’s patio in Uptown and enjoy an afternoon outside.”

What are some of your favorite Uptown events?

“The All About Uptown Festival, it’s great to see the neighborhood come together and showcase the area’s dining, shopping and entertainment. The Keith Urban Concert in West Village was an awesome experience. I was able to get up-close and have personal access to one of my favorite musicians.”

What made you move to the Uptown area and stay here?

“I love the idea of being able to walk anywhere, whether it be to a restaurant, bar, retail shops or to catch a movie at the Magnolia, everything’s conveniently located. A lot of my friends live here and the neighborhood has an exciting energy. Plus you feel like you are living in a smaller community even though you are in a large city.”
